Supporting our global events community – every step of the way
Events will be vital for recovery in a post-coronavirus world
Covid-19 is having a devastating impact on the global events industry.
For us at AMR international we are doing everything we can to support the global organisers and investors we work with, and the wider events community.
It’s our belief that nothing in the world will ever replace the power and need for tradeshows, exhibitions and live events. Below is snapshot of our lobbying efforts and market research that you may find helpful:
Go Live Together initiative
AMR is proud to be a founding partner of Go LIVE Together, a coalition of 80 founding partners – representing over 4,000 companies with U.S. operations – who have joined forces to support legislative actions that will aid the industry’s recovery from COVID-19.
BEVP: The UK Events Report
AMR provided its UK chapter from Globex 2019 to the Business Venues and Events Partnership (BEVP) for its UK Events Report – How Events Deliver the UK Industrial Strategy. (Pages 50-53)
Although written prior to Covid-19, the report presents compelling data on the power of events, with the industry contributing £70 billion to the UK economy and 700,000 jobs.
Globex market updates – COVID-19 impacts
Many organisers and investors rely on Globex market data and forecasts for their strategic planning. However, the forecasts in the 2019 edition are no longer valid as they predate the pandemic. AMR is now releasing regular market updates for all Globex subscribers, with the 2020 edition due for release in November. Read more>
Thought leadership and speaking engagements
AMR publishes thought leadership on a range of topics for the events industry. e.g. Exhibitions 2.0 is a set of forward-thinking initiatives to help event organisers improve customer satisfaction and achieve sustainable growth.
